Homesites with History

Grand Oak Golf Club opened in 1969 as a nine-hole course. Known then as Carolina Trace, the course was designed by Robert von Hagge, who created some of the world's most unique golf courses in the U.S. and eighteen other countries. Built into the hills of rural Dearborn County, the course quickly became a favorite, especially among Cincinnati golfers, thanks to its proximity to Queen City suburbs.

In 1989, Ohio architect Michael Hurdzan redesigned the course in an 18-hole layout that was renamed Grand Oak Golf Club. In its heyday, the course was recognized as one of the top ten public courses in the tri-state, celebrated for its hilly terrain and scenic views.

Bucolic Setting

Beautiful 2-1/2 to 27 acre homesites deliver picture-perfect backdrops for country estate homes.

Sites feature gently rolling hills, green belts, ponds, panoramic views, and, of course, the impressive oaks that give the community its name.

West Harrison, IN

This charming town is proud of its involved citizens, locally-owned businesses, vibrant recreation areas, and scenic vistas of the Whitewater River.

West Harrison is an iconic example of small-town America—with a long and rich history as an industrial center for distilleries, feed mills, and furniture factories. Kaiser Feed Mill, built in the early 1800s, houses a hardware store that has operated since the mid 1950s.

The town is located at the northeast corner of Dearborn County on the Indiana-Ohio state line. On average, tax rates are low compared to other counties, cities and towns in the tri-state, and in Indiana, as a whole. The county is home to a strong casino business that provides income to local governments, which helps hold down tax rates.
